This doesn't work in the April 2018 Update and can break your system!
My control panel was white again after this update, so I installed the 2C2C2C version again but it didn't help.
After that I thought that I shouldn't leave any garbage files that don't work behind, so I ran the default color option.
After rebooting, my start menu and the Windows 10 settings don't open anymore. I can't right click on items on the task bar or start button and the notification panel on the right doesn't open anymore.
I read that this is a known issue since Windows 8 that just seems to happen sometimes but that would be a great coincidence since it happened right after installing the default version of your contorl panel.
There are many solutions in the internet but no one worked for me so far. I think you can imagine that having no start menu and the inability to open the settings is very annoying, to say the least. If you have an idea how I could fix my system I'd be really thankful! ;D
I really appreciate that you made this tool for us and it always worked fine but you need to do something about this.
I'd say that you should remove the download link or put a big warning at the top of the discription immediately so that people don't destroy their systems with it!
Since you tool seems to be language dependant I should add that I am using Win in german.
EDIT: Just realized that I can't open Spotify anymore. That really is an issue for me. Couldn't find a solution yet. If you can't help me I'll problably reinstall Windows tomorrow or the day after that. :/

I only read that now.. went ahead and did the exact same thing.. system isnt working properly now and i havent even made any restore points.. pretty crappy for the person that made this theme hasnt even told ppl that it doesnt work anymore, so ill be reporting this...

The very same thing happened to me because I was too eager (or stupid) and thought it would work before I even read this post. Luckily it was on my Laptop and not the PC I use for work. I couldn't get past the Windows Login screen, so after a few tries in Save Mode and Recovery, I simply reverted the April Update. I think that's the fastest way to resolve issues with the system.

I was able to fix it by doing a "upgrade" via a windows ISO. Everything works again

Doesn't work for me. I tried disabling anti virus, and closing every single program on my pc, when doing it. But it just doesn't wanna work. I tried all of the versions. Please help!

Unfortunately, control panel retains a white sidebar /top bar as of 14-april-2017 ((Win10 x64 Pro - Creator's Update)).
EDIT: I just checked right now and if you install the 282828 version it works correctly, including sidebar/topbar. Only the default version has the problem. Thanks for this. Mucho love, will donate when I has money <3

Tried to revert to stock today (freshly downloaded files) but I'm having the same issue as posted by Noawethen back in November.
Some screen now have a dark background with blue text.

I've tried going back to the default white CP but it still has a bit of a black accent which is extremely annoying.
