Thanks! I haven't played WoW for almost a year but I do recall Pallys being pretty OP. I plan to play again when Cataclysm come out.

I think it's a 2-Handed mace model I received as reference from Blizz. They reuse models with different skins so maybe that's it.

Considering you did this image during Wrath of the Lich King, it is more than likely intended to resemble this- [link] Not the Scepter of the Shifting Sands. heh not many of us old timers left who even recall what the Scepter is.

What server do you play on? I've been on Kilrogg for 6 years.

Thanks! At the time I believe I just selected a high-level mace from Wowhead as reference for this piece. I do recall what the shifting sands scepter was; the Ahn Qiraj invasion event was very cool but insanely laggy.

I haven't played WoW in a year since most of my friends stopped but we tentatively plan to start again with Cataclysm. I'm Horde on Gurubashi pvp

Yeah laggy isn't even an adequate description. A slideshow with a delay of over 1 minute per slide would be more accurate. The launch of Naxxramas was worse though.

Good to know there are more people planning to come back for Cataclysm. I'll be doing so myself.

I actually did these cards a year ago and now finally they're released. Awfully colorful aren't they? Juicy-fruit art at it's best.

It's my understanding that they like that sort of over the top surreal color style. I'm guessing it mimics the game to some degree. What I like about it is that it certainly takes you to another place. A reality where things are clearly different than normal reality. So, for that purpose, I think that sort of color styling has purpose, etc.

You're actually dead-on. That's how WoW looks and how Blizz likes it. But I'm still trying to tone it down a bit on later cards.

I always use the brush tool. For this piece, I did use Illustrator to create masks for some of the effects.

Thanks. It's a little too disco Xanadu, but these are the bright costumes and spell effects I must adhere to. I actually did all these cards about a year ago so this stuff takes forever to come out.

Have fun in Europe! I'm jealous.
