I agree about the necessity to carefully observe people in the wild.

Meanwhile I first try to imagine the mechanics of a certain motion. E.g. how hips and pelvis need to be posed in order to support the illusion of leg movement, followed by thighs and shin down to the foot including twists and side motion apart from the bending. 

However, I’m still far from being accurate.

That kind of posing takes a while, as you know  , and I’m quite happy with how it turned out this time.
