Incredible piece! The muscles/anatomy are so ultra-huge, but still very believable. Great job!

I used this card with my warrior deck and buffed him up into an 11-11 with windfury. The was game over so quick.

Hei Alex, I've been watching your arkwork for some years now. I was wondering what brushes do you use for you digital paintings. Also, do you have video tutorials on sale?
Thanks,

Hey, thanks, man!
my paintings are 99.9% traditional, acrylics and oils, with some occasional digital tweaks, for which I use only default photoshop tools.
i don't have any tutorials, sorry, I'm still learning myself...

I love Werewolves too! And I don't get to paint them as often as I'd like... Yeah, great thing of Hearthstone, for me is that many old tcg cards are having a whole new (and better!) life.

"WORG, WORG, WORG, WORG!!!!!" Superbly dramatic piece! You worked in a lot of energy and moodiness into this one! A bit of a tip of the hat to Vallejo? Strong color work! FUNNESS!

Thanks Man!! Although I always admired him for his technical skills, my "art gods" are others, so if there's a tip of the hat, that is unintentional. But thanks again for the kind comments! More Worgeness coming soon!

Grazie, amigo!!
Purtroppo Γ¨ da un po' che non lavoro su comics o affini, mi sono concentrato su cards e promo art per la Blizzard in particolare, negli ultimi anni.
Ma spero nel vicino futuro di tornare a lavorare su qualche storia...
Grazie ancora!

Oh holy Horley, this is mighty impressive! Love the bold pallette you employ in your work, ( purpley werewolves are the best) you make all the elements work against each other so so well. The stance is quite stationary yet the canvas bursts with life!
Dont get me started on how much i love your anatomy skills, they leave me drooling. The shoulders, chest and arms on our beast here look so solid and powerful that even missiles would bounce off!
Faving it now. Also thanks for the watch on my gallery and the fave ....i cant believe the legend that is Alex Horley faved my picture!! You made my year

Heheh! You crazy ghoul!...Thanks, bro, very much appreciated. Cards are always tricky, because there are so many "limits"to work with, from the printing size, make sure the character is recognizable, etc. So, often you have to go with frontal views and try to make them "interesting".But "solving problems" is part of the fun, most times.
The best compliment to a painting, for me, is not much about execution, but if it's got "life" in it...
Thanks also for noticing the details only a fellow artist would notice.Your gallery rocks and I'm looking forward for more monstrosities!
