IMO, it's a great piece, balanced. The only thing that distracts my attention to the joy of seeing the rest of the painting is the elf's chest. His chest detail is nice but I think if it was less detailed or more subdued as in shadow, it would not detract from my viewing pleasure. Lovely. The female's left arm hanging down could also phase into shadow so the lighting works it's way up her arm which I think intentionally implemented but I think the lower part of her hand could be a bit darker. All the background colors work great even though there is much going on, but it works.

I did it a few years ago as an interior illustration for the novel "Wolfheart". The painting itself I think took me about 3 or 4 days to paint...
