Anybody recognize this guy? If not, that's cuz he's not in the show. This is Sendak from the MLP comics, in particular, Tirek's arc in the "FIENDship is Magic" mini series of comics. He was the guy who taught Tirek how to absorb magic and I've decided to make him a key villain in Flurry Heart's Story. We never got to see what he looked like outside of this form so I thought it would be awesome if he showed off his powers much like Tirek did in the show and I came up with these designs.

In the comics, he had on a hooded robe and could be seen wearing a necklace and other articles of clothing, but after an incident where a young Tirek tried to take magic from a pony that Sendak captured, Sendak was sentenced to working in the mines so I'm assuming he lost all of his clothes after that as well as probably some of his magic till he looked weak and thin like Tirek does in his first form. Sendak actually appears to be reddish in the comics, but it's rather muted compared to Tirek's much more vibrant red skin and I wanted him to look different from Tirek so I made him purple. He will get brighter as he gets bigger and his horns will start to curve like Tirek. I also colored his legs brown and his hooves black to make him look different from Tirek.

So yeah, there's Sendak. I've been itching to show off my design for him for a while and I'm really liking how it's turning out! I've got some good plans for him in Flurry Heart's Story so let's hope it all goes well!
