Work in progress shot for the Aeons of Eclipse painting(Screenshot directly from Photoshop- this is exactly how my Photoshop CS2 looks... for all you stalkery fans... except that it's shrunken a bit from my 1900x1600 resolution)
For those that keep asking about layers- there is NO layers. Layers lag at resolution of 12'000x12'000 pixels. I merge everything every 10 minutes.
Decided to show this one since the clients didn't like the airplane in it- so this painting was split in two different ones, which you can see here:

How do you merge layers? Do you just save it as something other than PSD.

how would you take things out of an oil painting for example:
I just paint over it, haha.

nice job, just one last question if i may; just to get a better perspective how to approach different techniques...
do you find that easier? or is it easier with layers? or maybe do you just go without layers so that the image size is smaller?

I'm looking forward to the final image! This looks really good, but it's to bad the airplane has got to go .. the airplane does something with your eyes.
But after seeing this, I would like to ask you a question:
Do you paint everyting in black and white and a colors to it later?

I see it as a very weird concept. See, there's the fuselage of the aircraft, and the for some reason, the interior of the turbine is outside, smashed, and in the ruble. Meaning, some very strange events took in that place. I know I'm not one to judge, but the turbine engine it self looks as if a section of a photograph was numerously duplicated. That faction really stands out. Above all, hope your wrists don't burn, I expect more from you, that's a hell of a lot of smudging.

how could you not like that dilapidated deteriorating wreck of an airplane. its what draws me into and wonders what happened to civilisation in this picture . and the cloud and sun effects are just awesome. oh well i hope your clients like your next version, but i reckon this one is killer

wow, what are those cylinder-like things on the bottom right? My guess would be that they are turbines, but I'm shocked at how vivid they are.. and bent lol
Wait a minute. I highly doubt that there are going to be old Ford F-100 trucks just galavanting around new york in the future to be squashed by a London double decker/tourbus by an apocalyptic catastrophe/war.. but you never know. Your type of fiction always puzzles and suprises me
