Description
Work in progress shot for the Aeons of Eclipse painting(Screenshot directly from Photoshop- this is exactly how my Photoshop CS2 looks... for all you stalkery fans... except that it's shrunken a bit from my 1900x1600 resolution)
For those that keep asking about layers- there is NO layers. Layers lag at resolution of 12'000x12'000 pixels. I merge everything every 10 minutes.
Decided to show this one since the clients didn't like the airplane in it- so this painting was split in two different ones, which you can see here:

WHOA whoa whoa....have I been there before?
That building looks freakishly familiar...I can see part of "New York" on it, and I'm currently living in Manhattan....*involuntary shudder*
Wow...this is amazing. These perspectives are so good....and the textures are beautiful.

How and where do you get your destruction scenes like this? Unless you work mostly from movie scenes and news articles photos?
Utterly amazed..... 0.o

using movie scenes or article photos is copyright infringement...
I use my own photography and do lots and lots of painting

Still, it's rather impressive seeing burnt planes and such.
*feels mightily envious of your imagination*

Are those buildings leaning on eachother? I like it.Reminds me of Cloverfield, you just need to put the statue of liberties head in the picture somewhere.

Really love the composition of this, you're definitely improving by leaps and bounds with each piece.
Really a shame they don't like the Airplane, hopefully you fit in a suitable replacement, foreground object.
I'm really surprised to hear that you flatten the layers as you work. I've never worked at that resolution but I know a lot of other professionals just put each individual object in a separate Photoshop file, allows for easier tweaking later.
Pumped to see the final render.

lotsa layers does allow for easier tweaking, but it also lags like crazy on resolutions of 10'000+ pixels
its an option to paint bigger, but also tweak less... kinda compared to an oil painting where you can't even tweak things, haha
