Animated Flash interface for the "Architect page" from the upcoming "Chronoscape" sci-fi novel website.Collaboration with awesome flash ninja who did the animation and sound effects.

the only thing noticed what the lights coming from the ebast. there are three lights from the beasts, yet the shader interacts from the light at that man's hand. if those three lights where mirror's that'd explain it, though i doubt they are mirrors XD

I really like this, the image itself is impressive, however I think during the transition from motionless to animated form you have lost some quality, and also the music is very atmospheric yet seems to out-do the piece of art. The music is very impressive, which is what seems to detract fro mthe image. There should be more animating within it, like more mist and the lights should dim more.

It reminds me of lord of the rings. Frodo and the spider lady.
The big thing looks like a spider. Then the light thing is like the vile of Galadriel...The music is simply epic!!!

This is my fave so far. It's really brilliant, how the light slowly illuminates the scene, flickering appropriatly (sp?) with the source. Plus, being able to zoom in, and see those teeth winding in the...'things' mouth, and the dust motes! Marvelous! Great work.

I had my headphones cranked up because I was listening to a file that was really quiet and I didn't realize there would be sound.
I almost had a heart attack, and the image just sucked me in.
It's a creepy effect; dread. that's the word I'd use to describe this image.
Never, never, never, get rid of the soundscore.
It's all beautiful.

OMG i thought of this concept before!!! this was done perfectly. the sFx add a whole new essence to it, placing you in the enviorenment itself. >< i wish i knew how to do this

I like this one better than the Solaris animation. It has more impact in the opening, though I want to see a close to each segment as the end as it is, is obvious enough that it doesn't really loop well. Not sure if that makes sense or not.
I like that the mouth parts move in the zoom, but they move too slow to feel dangerous. I also like the mist in the zoom out, but I think that needs to be pushed more as well instead of being so subtle.
Looking forward to seeing more animations!

I'd write a critique, but I don't really know anything about Flash and I am not one to pretend that I do. But I am going to say what I first thought when I saw it.
Obi Wan Kenobi.
I don't know, the figure just reminded me of him, maybe because I was watching the Star Wars series on Space Channel. Then, the creature, or whatever is in front of him, reminded me of a mutant form that came from both Shelob of the Lord of the Rings Saga and Aragog from the Harry Potter Saga.
I really love it though, and I guess that's what matters. Great job.

the best sci-fi composition i ever seen... the pics is breathtaking as it is but with the sound and the special efects its perfection.
the light and the brave soul that stands before this thing actually spreads hope... like nothing can scare him, he is a savior of humanity...
