WANT MORE APOCALYPSE? READ ZEE COMIC HERE: romanticallyapocalyptic.com/0When the rivers of the world ran dry
And the ozone layer unlocked its grip upon the planet
We had to find new ways to survive
Under the perpetual hellfire of the blazing sun
Trapped in the dead desert of the badlands
That were once to our forefathers
The divine depths of the cold, dark oceans

While the other color version of this piece is also gorgeous, I find this color scheme suits the concept very well. Another amazing piece!

Awesome the city looks like its built in and with a large boat. I like this one alot, even though I like all of your stuff, this is one of the very interesting ones. Sand dunes look nice too.

another amazinggg piece, I have to admit, that by looking at it quickly and then again I kept thinking that it was a sot of hill with a huge rock (like in "the lion king") and that the water was sand!!!

i love the color; the great, turbulent sea; the appealing line of the ship's bow jutting out into the sky; the little spots of white on the waves and in the city. i love this painting.

and it's not a sea... it's a desert that was once an ocean

Oh this so reminds me of the book I just finished reading (the banned and the banished) it's where the elvin ship crashed into the desert and they had to survive out in the desert.....while there were sandsharks attacking them gah.
I just love the colour! Suits the whole scene and the ship is simply unique

Great job yet again. I'm a fan of battleships, even in ruin. The way the town is set up reminds me of Mad Max. I could see this place really existing someday, perhaps when we are gone and the world has been brought to its knees by petty fighting amongst our kind...

hmmm I see those people suffered much from the burning sun... the extreme shortage of water caused them to shrink maybe 10 times from the normal size...
anyway I've seen your "Catalyst" in someone's faves today and thought "hmm this piece is so cool, why he's been drawing all those dead cities recently?" - and here it is... a city that still got some inhabitants! cool!

LOL, I scroll through this entire page and I swear, 50-75% of the comments includes the word "Wow" in it. I know it wasn't asked, but this colour version is better than the other one. You speak of the ozone dissipating, so the sky wouldn't have cool colours at all. The sky would be set on fire, so this colour scheme works a lot better. Someone mentioned that it gives the image a warmer feel, which I think balances out with the isolated feel.
Generally, this picture gives me a creepy feeling that everything had died and there's no hope left. You sure paint a lot of morbid paintings for someone as (seemingly) cheerful as yourself
Someone mentioned about how you should write a story and have images link up with each other. I second that suggestion! It'd be awesome and if you have it published I'd so buy it

indeed....
a graphic novel of sorts could be done
that would take forever though and I still need practice drawing people.

Truly great clouds, although sun would not be seen behind them if seas had raised to the skies.
Life would be like in a global greenhouse and mutated killer tomatoes and cucumbers would finally feast their revenge on vile vegetarians.

Once again you have produced a truly mind bogglingly awesome image of post-apocalyptic madness.
The whole feel of this image just draws me in. The massive and impressive sky to the detail of the town and the rotting reminisce of a skeletal behemoth from ages past. Keep up the good work dude. Please, oh please keep it up!
