i know its one cover for each band, but they all have the same features basically, with the whole floating angel thing

That still doesn't make them "have the same album covers". They're on the same "theme" sure.
For example, back in Renaissance times artists painted the EXACT same scenes from the bible and nobody minded that. It was in fact the client's demand to paint the same thing. Same here. I get paid for drawing what client wants. If I don't do it, I cant' buy food, haha. Oh sure, I could have painted unicorns in one and pies in the other, but that's not what the clients wanted. The clients specifically asked me to create a similar painting, fully aware of the fact that it's going to be "similar".
As long as its not the exact same image, nobody cares really... especially since the bands are in different countries and don't have worldwide CD cover sales circulation.

nah, lots of pro artists actually draw same things over and over and over, just because clients want similar things or because artists like a particular theme.

still, if i were to commission something like that, i wouldnt wanna see a theme ive already seen from the artist, it just makes more sence to me to go for sumthin new.
