Evolving within a volatile, gaseous environment the creatures grew to excrete the own air they breathe through digestive functions. It was only when they had escaped the large contained landfills, we realized our folly. They bred in such rapacious numbers upon escape, their excretions soon blotted out the skies. They poisoned the upper atmosphere while simultaneously trapping themselves within it. Contained within their self made prison, with a population sky rocketing and a food source dwindeling, these creatures soon resorted to cannabalism. Leaving us, with The Ravenous Ceiling."
