My mood has been up then down for few days.And now it's totally down. So insecure.
I know not many people like Vietnam. She's a forgotten minor character. Just like me. And no matter how hard i tried to gain her some attention, it's still helpless. I'm not someone who can do that.
But it's fine.
Everything will be fine for both of us
Vietnam from Hetalia series.
btw, is that because of the difference between my computer's scene and my phone's scene or what? Why does the color of the drawing become so blazing???

This is so beautiful! and yes I get you. As a Vietnam cosplayer I see how much she is forgotten but at least at the last hetalia event I went she got more attention than I would've thought. Hopefully if she appears in the anime she wil be more known in the fandom, and maybe as loved as Taiwan (because I always see Taiwan with the asians but not Viet)

Hopefully, Vietnam can get some screentime in the anime to get some attention at least. But then again, most of the Hetalia fans are horny pre-teen yaoi fangirls with no sense of shame when it comes to shipping everything gay. On Facebook, there was a fan that reported every female or Nyotalia character because she hated them. Why are some girls like this? Hating their own gender?
Vietnam is a true "lady of war" with a sense of dignity, poise, and beauty that commands respect and admiration, and that makes her my favorite character. She's not entirely forgotten though. I've met many fans of her online so there is hope!
Regardless of how horrribly twisted the fans make Hetalia, there is still history and culture behind some of the comics Himaruya makes. For example, how English soldiers were attacked during their afternoon tea in WWII (which I will never understand because who just sits around and has tea when there is a WAR going on) and how Western recreation of Japanese art has become popular in Japan, which I thought was very cool. Fans need to start sitting down and learn their history properly without all the gayness everywhere.
As an American, I became extremely annoyed with all the Hetalia posts of the Supreme Court decision of same-sex marriage. I'm proud that my home nation legalized it, but holy God, the fandom just went crazy with that and posted yaoi stuff EVERYWHERE. If it weren't for the fact that the characters are just so admirable and historically involved, I would have dumped this fandom LONG AGO.

Yeah. The new season of anime has been released and all we can do is waiting.
Btw, i saw Macau in the lastest chapter of World stars series yesterday and it grows a deep hope that Vietnam will make her appearance soon ( cause i find Macau's position in the series somewhat is like Vietnam, hardly appears )

I know that feeling so well when I was in the Hetalia fandom. Insecure and hopeless about my status as a Vietnamese.
It was part of why I left the fandom in the first place cause Hetalia decided to focus on stupid yaoi fanservice instead of some actual history and adding more about important countries.

You're right. That's the reason why many fans left the fandom. Too much fanservice makes Hetalia slipped out from its primary purpose.
and honestly, i also don't like the way the author adds so much characters like that ( the micronations, the internet nations, the greece emperors...)

Like instead of having Italy and Germany two MEN dating with each other, why not include countries like Mexico, Brazil, Philippines, etc instead?
Why not talk about important history instead?
Why not talk about the freaking Vietnam War instead?
Why not talk about the atrocities Japan did during WW2 instead of making him look like a polite, bishounen saint instead?

i think we can't blame Himaruya for making Japan so polite and well virtuous instead. 1st Himaruya is Japanese, and 2nd it seems he tries to do so with all the other countries to make Hetalia as cheerful as possible. No country is made fiercely, even these empires which mostly invaded the whole world, exterminated a race, killed million people... ( i don't wanna say the name of these countries to avoid offensive object but i think you're already know what )
But i agree you about the other things. There're alot of important but also interesting things in the world should be sketched out. Other wise, i wanna see the current minor characters to be deverloped, instead of adding new (meaningless) characters
And the war objects are great, too
