In Slavic mythology mermaids aren’t sea-inhabiting ladies with fishtails, they’re undead creatures/souls of the drowned (usually women), and no, they don’t have tails. So you’ll be seeing those here occasionally among classic mermaids. And this is as close as I’ll get to showing my actual face around the Internet)
