The images i saw on google scared me., I thought to myself if that i started anorexia my future boyfriend/hubby won't find me beautiful anymore. But i'm sorry that your brother has anorexia

You always hear about girls having eating disorders but never boys, but people never imgine boys worrying about their image, just prove how much pop culture and advertizing messes with kids heads :/

Oh, I like it. I love the photo you drew it from. I think she's beautiful in a pure way. Yeah, I know it's sick and not healthy, no worries, but her face looks peaceful somehow.

I'm really sorry your brother has (or maybe had since this is from 2008?) anorexia. Hope he's doing better
This drawing is really amazing, partly because it's very well executed and is technically and esthetically perfect; partly because I find traditional portrayals of ED's to be so rare (they're all just photos) and partly because of the feeling it has in it. Also because it's turned around my mind a bit... I'm in recovery from an ED and I used to look at anorexic people for thinspiration; the anorexic body was my ideal, the most beautiful thing for me. Desperately wanted to look like this - the more bones, holes and veins, the better.
But now when I look at ana-pics I just feel really sad and compassion for the poor person; I don't see that as a definition of beauty anymore. Just sickness. Now healthy is beauty. I just realized how much I've actually changed since I started treatment
