Description A quick note: Comments are more than welcomed and I would love you eternally if you spare a minute or two to write one! Now you can continue reading the actual info.

Info:
I haven't created a space scene for quite some time and this morning when I got to school I decided that I have to make one. So here it is. I used a nature landscape photograph as a base and from there on I just let my imagination do the work. Hope you like it.

Thanks goes to ~Stock7000 for his awesome stock planet (as I was way too lazy to create one myself), which can be found on this [link]

I'm also loving the pink space. The sky... I mean, space is awesome, the flare of light is a great touch to really bring out the image. The contrast between the space and the grass & sewer pipes is very interesting and unusual.

But I do have a strong feeling that the foreground of the image (the grass etc.) should be more purple/pink. There's such a strong purple light in the rest of the image, and it looks like the light is not affecting the colors of the foreground at all, which makes the foreground seem really detached from the background. And I'm just going by a hunch here, but I think the light flare should reflect more strongly on the water - maybe not even by photorealistic standards, but it might look better and make the foreground pop out more. The rest of water and the sky reflecting off it looks good, though.

Woa, thank you very much for this comprehensive comment. Everything that you have pointed out is true and indeed would improve the piece if those were corrected, and maybe one day I will.

But yeah, I created this in school, mostly out of having nothing to do, which is a lousy excuse for not paying attention to the logical details you pointed out, but still.

Stunning manipulation. It is smooth enough to almost fool the eye into believing you just stepped outside and took a photo in your back yard. The culverts are nice touch, I saw them first and admired their angle and the shadows around them, and forgot to look up at the looming planets. Awesome effect.

Oh, absolutely. I always check out the work of people that spare part of their time to comment or fav my work. It's the least I can do.
