"You again? And again!?" Asked Senya as she added the final two attackers to the pile."How many times have I knocked you out?"
Here is the painted versions of my Shiks vs. Senya image, which is my part of an art trade with fellow DA artist Shabazik. My comic book character Senya has set off an alarm while sneaking around a Kasparov Complex, and is now being swarmed by wave after wave of Shik troopers. Luckily for Senya, the clone troopers are extremely pile-able!

I love how you get the shiny latex into your work. How time consuming is that effect?

It is actually quick to paint, (now that I have done a few) I just do flat colour fills, then overlay a rim light on the edges and then paint it the shadows and set it to multiply. Then I just blend everything and add in the shinny highlights at the end.

I do like Shiks and what a wonderfully tangled pile of them Senya has made (specially the four in the bottom left.) I wonder where she will creatively put the last two in the pile.
I think the clones are going to need a little help to free themselves.

As Senya finish the fight, she then look at the pile and discovers the truth!!

Ouch, poor shiks trapped in the pile of bodies... I hope they all are still able to breath... And that poor thing watching the dropped knife falling on her from above - will it bring her death or injury? Or she would be lucky?

I'm sure the Shiks will all be ok, they are used to this sort of thing 
I didn't think about those knives landing... ouch! But I imagine they would drop handle first

It seems the poor Shiks were created to have their asses kicked. However, it was not so - they were created to do a peaceful work, and they would do it well. Unfortunately, the cruel world demands them to fight - what they do extremely unskillfully. I am glad that none of them will be hurt, not all their opponents are so forgiving...
But Senya should be happy that she is just "knee deep in Shiks". If she was waist deep in Shiks she could get stuck in them

Oh my GOD.
This might be one of the best pieces in your gallery, Alexi. : ) The soft glow of the moon lighting up the contours of their bodies, dimming as it gets to the regrettable (for them) pile of pounded Shiks... it's got a great stylized sense to it.
I always feel you do faces so well, but Senya is just oozing adorable power her. Her eyes are so open but fixed, with a barely there smile at the edge of her lips.
Also, the KO'd Shik to the top left, looking down with her hair draped over her face a bit, is so cute. Zzz!

Thanks! I tried something different with the lighting, and it helped to give this piece a different feel. And thanks for the comment about the faces. I am trying to get better at drawing them to be more unique and expressive (as they mostly look the same in my pictures, though it would make sense this time because they are clones!)
