I hope this works out okay. I was browsing to see what I could critique, and I stumbled upon this. I usually critique work that's around my level to teach myself, too. Regardless, I can learn from all things. But this--I don't even know if I can manage to not rate it all 5 stars.
I wanted to write this for you because I saw that people left comments saying what they liked, but no critiques were written yet. I'm just in so much awe that I don't know if I can do anything but praise this piece.
Vision: I think what you wanted to do with picture definitely came across well. It's beautiful, to say the least. I get this wonderful, eerie ethereal feel from this piece of art. It's soft but stark and dramatic. He's beautiful, but it makes you wonder: Is he good? Is he evil? What's he up to? The mystery of the character, the power and deceptive idea of serenity is potent and lingers in the mind. Wonderful job!
Originality: As a writer, I can't encourage this enough. This piece, of all the art I've looked at over all my life, is one of the prettiest, most dynamic, well-composed, original pieces I've seen. Original characters are always fun to design, but this one had a particularly shines in the dark (heh). The horns on the characters are so interesting, and they look perfectly like otherworldly glass. The effect on them is outstanding. You drew this character with complex, detailed intensity, and it shows that you put your soul into it. Your fingerprint as an artist is prominent and lasting in this piece, and in your work.
Technique: I gave this 4.5 stars because I find it really hard to rate something absolutely perfect. There's almost nothing wrong with this picture. If there is, I can't see it. The only thing I couple possibly think to change would be the star above his hand. It would look more realistic if it was drawn as a star like the others around him, but then it would fade into the background. The simplicity of that star, the basic shape, makes it stand out and draws attention to the detail in itself and even everything else in the picture.
I love the complementary colors of the orange-yellow and blue painted throughout this pictures. The contrast makes the subtle tints of purple in his skin glorify this picture even more. Wonderful. The textures are amazing, too. I feel I can't come up with words that would justify how well you did this picture. The glows, the shines, the different shadows, and the sparkle of the gold paints this picture into a masterpiece.
Impact: Need I really say more? This piece has already had a lasting impact on how I view art. You brought a new standard into play in my mind. This is what it means to compose a work of art. This makes me want to strive even harder to become better and reach a new level every day.

Wow! hank you for such incredible critique, it's the best i ever received <3 i basically do not know how to answer... so many superlatives is too much! So I'll focus on that star. Well this is commission so I based on references send me by the commissioner, and there was that particular star which he wants to catch and moon, were more like parts of his body. So I made them in te way, they stand out from BG. and the rest of all stars are indeed just a background and I wasn't focused on them.
In fact that artwork was one of the rare cases, when you get a commission and you know exactly, from the very beginning how you want it to look like , because the description fits you so much

His face details, the golden glittery glow on his face (and dripping) and the extras (like the translucent glowing horns and the light shinning through his ears) make this piece stand out so much!! The colour choice and their co-ordination seem very soothing and harmonious, and the touch of Blue from the horns and his eyes add the final touch!
I'm no good at critiquing but i thought i'd let you know, how beautifully done is this piece!!
