I would say that those are not "rose" or any other flower's petals.
I see the blood fingerprints left on a screen trough which we can see these two gorgeous blood "suckers". It's like connecting the image with the viewer.
Anyway, interpretation is left on the viewers point of view.
Great piece of art!

I remember that when I have read references for this commission for the first time, my impression was exactly the same Lestat and Luis (I was a huge fan of Ann Rice books when I was teenager, my favorite was Lives of the Mayfair Witches series :3 )

Oh, that's so cool! Great minds do think alike! I too loved the Mayfair Witches series. Ann Rice is an amazing female author, she inspires me so much! Question: Are you a fan of the original Dracula?

hahah.... postacie silnie inspirowane opisem, który mi wysłała ich właścicielka I może troszkę wywiadem z wampirem.... bo innych wampirystycznych rzeczy nie znam nie jestem fanką tego typu rzeczy.
