Description SAI is my favorite paint tool these days.
It's not very heavy but has good drawing responses and enough functions(at least enough to me) for painting.
Most of my doodles in dA are drawn with this.

SAI is now free beta, but its Japanese version only,
and English webpage/readme is not available for now.
So I'm now making an quick memos of SAI in English.

This first memo includes download & intalling SAI.

I'm now planning to make some more mamos
about usage/interface/maintainance/FAQ of SAI
when I get less busy.

I'm not very good at English and my work is slow,
but if this memo should be of small use to someone
who's interested in SAI, I'm very glad.

= Note: quick memo of SAI's maintainance =

SAI is 30-day-free software, but you can use it continuously
when you download each new version of SAI and update it.
SAI's new version is releaced once a month.

When updating SAI you don't need to DL the "fullset" zip,
because there is a smaller "update" zip at the website.
Overwrite the files unpacked from "update" zip
( .exe and some few files), and your SAI is now updated.

Please check if you are using the latest version of SAI,
when you find some functions are suddenly restricted.
There is a day counter at the title bar of SAI's window.
It may be some help to know when you have to update SAI.

Thanks for the help.
I got a new comp, and I decided to download sai, although my pc ends up saying there's some kind of error with the file, and that it can't find the... sf.dll or something (can't remember xD) file, when it's clearly there.
I don't know if this is just because I have vista or what, but, do you have any suggestions?

(1)Windows Vista
As to SAI, Windows Vista is not officially supported. But many users reported they could use SAI on Windows Vista without problem, so I don't think your Vista is not the problem(maybe!).

(2)sf(?).dll
If the file name is "sfl.dll", this is one of the SAI component files. If sai.exe said it couldnt find sfl.dll... hmm. All files unpacked from downloaded SAI zip file must be placed in the same folder. Please check where the files are, if all files are unpacked from zip file or not, and if downloaded zip file is "fullset" or "update".

Hmm, okay...
well, I tried again, with no luck. So I changed around some vista settings and downloaded it again, and it still says that it's unable to find that component. -_- Yet when I open up the files, the sfl.dll file is right underneath the sai.exe file.

Oh wells. Thanks for the help though.
