"...for I have sinned."Had to put that, I'm sorry!
Contest entry for 's contest!
I chose the characters Luke and Judas because they are totally my favs from the second I saw them. CX
Luke (the dark one) is the son of Judas (the pale one). Judas committed a crime that caused the two to start kicking up a brawl. Despite all the wrong Judas did towards Luke, including later kicking him out of the pack, I would still feel that a son fighting against his own father would bring a lot of emotional pain. No matter how much hate you have for someone, inside you know they're still family. And nothing can ever change that.
I attempted for some dynamic perspective, but it rather failed. I need to practice a bit more on that, but this was a good start!
As a result, though, Judas came out a bit too big in comparison to Luke.
Also, thanks to my photography class, I discovered cloudy cast skies create little to no shadows upon subjects, which is why cloudy days are the best for portraits. KNOWLEDGE.

Personally I feel the perspective is rather fantastic, you've pulled it out so uniquely. The anatomy looks good too, and I love the fact that you made the picture more powerful by blurring some of Luke's feet. It adds a serious amount of speed to the picture, very nice :3
- Also the fact that the picture is focused on the battling dual, is pretty awesome. The blurred bg works its place well and doesn't take too much attention away from the canines.
Great expression, and the emotions are well done. I love the concept too, you're so right about the fact that family is always family :3

It's not too hard. If you have photoshop, just make a selection with the polygonal lasso tool and then do some gradient

O.O omg you know, i just read a part of a book where this dog, Tazar and his son,Olang. Olang comitted a huge crime and tazar was forced to kick him out, but later on they met again but Olang joined Tashi [evil dog XD] and made him his new father, Tazar was heart broken and begged him to come back, but Olang refused...
then shortly after that the main charracters friend dies a sad death D:
