Sorry I came late to this. I haven't been on here much lately.

When I saw the thumbnail to this, I wondered if it was a memorial of some sort. Was it ever.

I am so sorry for your loss, and I'm so sorry I wasn't here earlier.

I hope you and your family are doing better by now.

I am so sorry for your loss. You described everything so beautifully. It reminds me of my Grandpa and my Papaw.

This is a beautiful way to remember him. Art is such a great outlet for our emotions, too.

I'll be praying for your family.

Wow, I seen this from the section on my watchlist. I must say, I am stunned practicallu speechless with your testimony. I am in tears as I type this, and I don't do that easily.

Have no words that'll help ease the pain of your loved one passing on. Save for those that have already been said before me. If I could, Hun, I'd reach through this computer and give you a big hug.

There is a song by Michael W. Smith called "Friends." You should check it out. It has some comforting lyrics in it.

Hey, no biggy. If we're not there to support our fellow brothers and sisters... then this world would become a thoroughly sad and meaningless place indeed.

Yep, Smitty has lots of good stuff. I'm not usually one for the slower Christian artists, I'm more into TobyMac and Skillet 'n stuff. But Michael W. Smith, I like. He always has music that everybody can relate to.

I'm must the same. There are several really good slow songs but i must preffer the gspel up-beat sort of kind. It always attracts your attention by still giving lots of emotion

I know this is a really late comment, but I literally cried when I read this. That was sad....having a grandparent (or anyone, really) pass is really hard. But you know they're in a better place, and they're happy, so be happy for them down here. They wouldn't want you to always be sad.

I'm very sorry to hear this Filly. Having someone close to you die. I'm glad to hear that the angles swept his soul to forever be with God. He's there waiting for all of you now. I'm sure he was a great man, great enough to spend eternity with the Lord almighty!
It's still very saddening to hear that he is gone though. The words you wrote on your Artist's Comments will be stuck in my head. So will the story.
Watching your most favored person die in front of your eye's sounds horrible, and what your wrote there, gave me the impression of the pain that you felt there.
Just think of your Pawpaw smiling down at you with one of his most kindest grins. He has his wings so he is now set free from this world of tragedy. He loved you and still loves you now. He may not be here physically, but he's here spiritually.
Don't be sad about his death Alfa, be happy that the fact that he is with the lord and is grinning at you when he sees you smile. I'm sure he doesn't like to see you frown, so smile for him. Talk to him through your prayers Alfa, he isn't gone. The final goodbye is never for there is no such thing.

BTW Alfa, the song from youtube is perfect for this picture. (:>
"I know your life
On earth was troubled
And only you could know the pain
You weren't afraid to face the devil
You were no stranger to the rain

Go rest high on that mountain
Son, you work on earth is done
Go to heaven a shoutin'
Love for the Father and Son

Oh, how we cried the day you left us
We gathered round your grave to grieve
I wish I could see the angels faces
When they hear your sweet voice sing

Go rest high on that mountain
Son, you work on earth is done
Go to heaven a shoutin'
Love for the Father and Son"

Don't be sad for your paw, he’s happy where he is smiling down at you, watching over you forever.

I'm so so very glad for that too. I'm glad to read your comment. It sounded like you spent a lot of time on it and I thank you He was a great man. And he still will be in our hearts. And I will see him again and he will no longer be in pain.

I'm so sorry he passed away Filly. I never experienced a death before my eyes but your description pretty much gave me the perfect visual to understand the true pain that happened at that house. But I'm so happy to know angels swept him away to a better place, he's just going home and he will no longer feel any pain or sickness. I am relieved for that.

And you're welcome.

Though I don't really understand what it's like to have someone that close to you die, I still wish to sympathize to the best of my ability. I am so sorry that he's no longer with you, but I am so very glad that you were able to say your final fairwells before he died.

There are moments like that... moments of pure belief where you don't even believe anymore--you know. I am fortunate enough to know what that feels like, although it was no where near this scenario and for a completely different subject. But I am still glad that you know he's okay. Even if you don't really know, for a while... you did. In a way. I don't know if I'm making any sense, because it's extremely hard to describe, but I hope you know what I'm saying.

Best of luck, however you may need it

That sounds so much like when my grandpa died. (He passed last August)The only differences was that I was asleep when he passed, he was too weak and drugged on Morfine that he couldn't speak, and that he was in the bedroom. Hospice was so helpful for us, they helped out on everything, and they were really kind. I got woken up minutes after his passing, so I saw him afterwards. I know how you feel Filly, and I really wish I could be there for you to give you a great big hug. *cyber hugs you* I love ya Filly, I really do. I'd come and see ya in Florida if I could. I seriously consider you an irl friend. and I promise, if I'm ever in Florida I'll come see you. *gives you a huuuuuge hug*

Love ya Filly! <3!

I'm not much for praying, and I never can remember, but I am now. I'm sure of it. Your grandfather is in Heaven right now, watching over you, and doing something he loves. And as it seems...
Angels aren't just for stories and dreams ^^

I apologize, I've never heard the song, but it seems to fit perfectly to me. I also am not one of the most Christian going people either, but when it comes to the passing of a loved one, I know that God is there, in our time of need...
Just when we think all hope has failed.
