This is an entry for The Imaginarium's After the End contest .

When I saw the contest's theme I thought it was a chance to rework an old idea of mine.

Here's the concept:

This is the interior of a interstellar spaceship, a colony ship, where the crew/passengers gather to have a first close up look of their next home for the next... years? centuries? millenia?... before they eventually move away, to reach a new home yet again.

They are just one of mankind's future offspring, millenia away from now. Their society is based heavily on biotechnology, wich they apply on all of their makings as they do on themselves.

Their spaceship is no different. It's actually a huge living organism.
