Temperament:
Hades, named partly because of his dark coat and partly because of his dangerous personality, is a very forceful and decisive stallion. Once he has his mind set, it is his way or no way which can cause him to rush into situations unprepared. He loves competing and entering the transport vehicles as he knows there is usually a competetion waiting; if one isn't, he gets moody and will let you know he isn't happy about it.

Despite his love for competing he hates the feeling when the saddle lands on his back and will do everything he can to avoid it. When turned out in pastures he always starts pulling away before you have been able to close the gate behind you and is very impatient, once released he bolts around like he's mad, trying to beat his own speed records, not being very careful of injury or other horses. He is infamous as a horse that sometimes takes hours to grab from the pastures, if he has no respect for you as he will toy around with you till he is satisfied. The lucky few that doesn't have this issue usually don't engage in his behavior, but wait it out which bores him to compliance.

Hades sees himself as the best horse and gets agitated by other horses in the paddocks and will bully the other horses unless he has an equally strong willed or an experienced rider. While he has horrible manners and will purposefully swat you with his tail, kick at you (never to injure you) and bite at you if you have not earned his respect, he walks perfectly on a lead, never being fussy.

While he is not great with people, say but for a few ones, he can easily take over during competitions if the rider is inexperienced and doesn't do things right in his mind. His fierce competitiveness therefore works to an advantage sometimes. That is, until he hears the sound of a scooter or motorcycle as he will bolt or buck instantly.
