No ... XP is OLDER than Vista ... but of Superior Usibility, Compatibility and Reliability.  Vista (which no one in their right mind should be using) was an obnoxious, broken and buggy prototype of the far Superior Windows 7, which is STILL superior to all versions of Windows 8.
