looks like she's being attacked by the basilisk. Β Her right hand is holding the basilisk's head and the basilisk is coiling around her.

Yes, ok, that makes sense.Β So is this a statue in tribute to her?Β Or is this HER turned to stone?Β

You know, I want to say that because she turned to stone, she held the basilisk in her grip forever, slaying it I guess? The offerings seem sad to me, as if that's her, dead where she stands.
