and the lines aren't as clean as they seem to be in a lower resolution. think of the fact that most artists work in very high resolutions - i guess *algenpfleger does so, too.

sehr sehr cool! Einige Designelemente an der "Rüstung" gehen aber ein wenig unter, keine ahung obs an der größe des Bildes hier auf Deviantart liegt oder ob n paar details vllt noch ein wenig genauer ausgearbeitet hätten werden können......naja is eigentlich auch egal, meine wirklich nur den kleinsten Kleinkram
hmmm also ich persönlich steh schon ziiiiemlich auf die rauhe oberfläche, fand dieses "plastikfeeling" beim graphire immer so "unbequem"

Do you care to elaborate on the cover sheet? Is it pertinent to the "nib wear" issue?
I ask, because i have been pondering a nice alternative to the "paper-like, nib chewing feel" of the default intuos4 sheet, and am curious to hear if you might have found something more... smooth. I WAS using a sheet of smooth plastic, with electrical tape, however, the plastic would warp with temperature 
I recently heard that an Intuos3 sheet (A3) can cover the drawing surface of an intuos4?

PS. Do you build up some of these characters, and then erase the rough, or have you been "going for the gusto", and just blasting out the line work without preliminary? Awesome stuff, regardless

Hey man! I got this [link] Not sure if it's available anywhere else, stumbled upon it by accident and thought it might be good to not have that stupid rough surface. Anyways it works really well, just had to stick it on the surface, bam!
About the characters, I did a tiny nude sketch underneath, I feel it's easier to keep track of the anatomy that way! ö_öv

Huge Screens are awesome! I got one for Christmas and set up a dual-screen station on my desk which is getting a little crowded now o_o.
It feels really claustrophobic, when I'm just using my tiny one without the big thing now...
