Haha, i guess i can hardly deny the impact of Linda Bergkvist's tutorials on my work
She's so awesome, regardless of what anyone says.This took me less than 2 hours, and was done without reference, i read through her tutorial on painting eyes this morning, but did this picture here without looking at anything but a mirror.
My eyes are much less female by the way, for obvious reasons xD
I'm not happy with the hair since it looks like... well, like it hasn't been combed for two years. But i guess that's alright, i'll do it better next time.
and i just noticed... the nose....? damn.

Sorry that it has taken me so long to comment on this. Impressive work, especially for only your third attempt at realism. There is nice depth to the hair. And the eyes are very well done.
The main critique I can offer has to do with the hair. You pointed out that you weren't satisfied with it. While it does have a nice sense of depth, a smoother, more flowing stroke in the individual strands would work better. The shadows of the hair strands on the face should probably be narrower, finer, with a fade out to even thinner at the ends, similar to the well done eyelashes.
Anyway, keep at it, you are doing quite well in my opinion. Sorry again for the delay in commenting and I hope my comment wasn't too long.
