Taken with Nikon F60 with Ilford 400 asa black and white film

Great photograph, I like the lighting used here and the shadows it has created. The darkness is great, and the feeling of fear is truly there. Good idea to show the eye to help show that emotion better. Good work!

Lighting and colours are great but how does that convey fear? Is he hiding? Is he trying to cover his face? It just looks like he's standing with his hands in front of his face, waiting to be photographed.

Great capture and composition. I think the border came out nice as well--it seems a little off-white on my monitor but maybe that's just my monitor. xD Very emotional and vivid. Good job!

The emotions of human being - huh, maybe one of the hardest subject to photograph. Even despite of the negative feedback you seem to had I see this in a good light. I have some experiences about fear and can understand why you made the model to partly cover his eyes. It's like he tries to hide for he wouldn't like to face the fears. Blue tone brings some coldness and divergent feeling on to the photo. Good photographty I'd say!
Maybe the black border line which circles the photo could be fixed to be more homogene. Despite of that, very well taken portrait!

I like this shot a lot, nice portrait. Shows reall emotion and exactly what the shot was going for. I would have liked to see a bit of detail in the BG. But ah well

The BG was just black plain paper so a little difficult to get detail, i prefer having it as dark shadows anyway, gives it a more moody feel i think.
