Description
So, while I've well enjoyed Super Smash Brothers: Brawl, I've come to the conclusion that there are simply too many characters I would've put in.

To that effect, I'm working on programming my own sprite based fighter, called Smash Brothers: Fisticuffs.

What you see here is the sketch for the intro screen, and also the complete Starting Roster for the game.

You've got Laughing Dog and Duck from Duck Hunt, Doshin the Giant from Doshin the Giant, Professor Layton of the Prof. Layton series, Demiru from Tomato Adventure, Hakkun from Sutte Hakkun, Little Mac from Punch-Out!!, Sukapon from Joy Mech Fight, Takamaru from Nazo no Murasamejou, Tom Nook from Animal Crossing, Stafy from Legend of Stafy, Lip from Panel de Pon, Jill and her Dozer from Drill Dozer, Bubbles from Clu Clu Land, Muddy from Mole Mania, Chibi-Robo from Chibi-Robo, Balloon Fighter from Ballon Fight, Andy from Advance Wars, and Geno from Mario RPG.

For a number of these guys, I redesigned them into a new style I prefer. Typically I did that for characters whose designs were so old they've never been out of pixel form.

I'm most pleased with how Balloon Fighter came out...

I'll be inking, coloring and shading this later.
