Description
This is my homage to all things that I love.The female/peahen is dressed in a sakura kimono and has ceremonial stripes on her neck. She is a consort of the Peacock Emperor of the eclipse, which is blood red. They have a magic dance amongst the magnolia blossoms.

I've decorated my reception area (well it's a small indoor porch) and it's got peacock feathers painted on the walls, but it's not really a stereotypical art nouveau or Indian style room (which is well known for it's peacock themes)
I wanted to have a painting in there to welcome my friends and family. We had a poster sized Amano picture in there and I wanted something similar but in the style of the room.
So here's the breakdown - it's sort of style as the artist Yoshitaka Amano and I added all sorts of my favourite things to it too. We have a magnolia tree in the front garden so that's in there, I love Klimt so there's a bit of his style in there too.
I love Japanese legends and I added art nouveau swirls just as a hint. The pumpkin netsuke/bead is there because my favourite time of the year is Halloween.
So ta da there it is. I have to admit I need to get it framed and put it there, but I'll do that soon.

that sounds incredible, Indoor porches are my favorite spots of a home. the kitchen and the porch 
but your house sounds like a dream. I can't wait to get to the point in my life where I get to create my little niche.
halloweens defintley my favorite holiday too, falls my energizing season. I can see you as a person who really gets into the wacked out halloween stuff

We have a 'ween party every year and we've had some great costume themes, everyone makes a really good effort.
One year we had a Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel themed party and I body painted my partner to look like Lorn, the green cabaret singer - ha ha he looked great, even though I do say so myself, unfortunately we don't have any digital pics of that party, I may scan a picture of him, we'll see.....
I love kitchens too!!! Ours has stormy cloudy blue skies on the walls and stone pebble mosaic as the sink splash back. We live close to a pebble beach called Kilve and it's one of our favourite places to go, we've even had a BBQ on the beach in January (BRRRR!!!!).
So as we love it so much we brought it's essence home with us and it lives in the kitchen - ha ha ha !!!

Yes, however it is very, very lovely. Love the contrast between colors and the position of the birds... they seem to be in love (Sadly, when they are in love in the real world they are just plain noisy lol).

Yes these are very quiet, they might be enchanted humans under a spell but they have both got sore throats, the female is gargling with TCP and he's just about to sneeze all over her.
