Description
I really, really love Portal, not to mention I think they had some of the most clever promotional ads ever. Here's a poster based of their Aperture Investments video, which was hysterical.Related content

Hey! Recently I have been trying to work in making up my own 1950s style posters as well and i've been looking at quite a few of these (and others). The work here is really good, sincerely, the colors, layout, all of it! It's fantastic! I know it's a bit troublesome, but can I ask which programs you used for basic layout? Illustrator, etc? Any tips would be appreciated!

Thanks a lot! And it's not troublesome at all!
I use Photoshop pretty much entirely. I just make a super rough sketch of shape ideas for layout and then kind of just dive in, putting each element on a separate layer so I can rearrange them. Which I do a lot.

That's amazing! Because the lines are -really- straight, excellent attention to detail. The composition is spot on, too xD I'm working on a couple projects right now, but as an aside that kind of poster style is what i'm looking into. Thank you for the information, and keep on creating!

this is very cool!
But theres one thing I'd recomend you to change if still possible: the aperture logo has too many parts on the poster.
here a link of the original one: [link]
but everything else is amazing really!

I'm pretty sure it would be some sort of copyright infringement if I did, but feel free to print the sucker out! I'm honored that you like it so much!

Love it!
But allow me to be Mr. Obvious and say that you've missed the 'n' in the word "standard"

Cave Johnson:
Hey look investors. I a businessman, and that means I fill needs. Not needs like humanity because that would fall between the purview of your conundrums of your sociology. I solve practical problems. For instance, how do I keep my treasures safe from intruders? The answer, use a turret. And if that don't work, use more turrets. Like this .45mm twin linked AI turret thought by me...
Turret: Hello.
Cave Johnson:
...Built by me...
Turret: Who's there?
Cave Johnson:
And you best hope... Not pointing at you.
Turret: Target acquired.
