The Unikaria Project a hobby in the implausible evolutions of implausible animals in a implausible world, a world like our own but very much different.

Unikaria is a large Earth-like planet which is roughly 2.5 times larger than our own Earth, just as dense, with a larger moon, more oxygen in the Atmosphere, Orbits are barely further distance and a 452 Day Year.

The world is currently 60% land and 40% water. The land is a super continent with lots of flooded land, reaching pole to pole with many scattered islands. The North pole is much like our own, cold. Its frozen year round and covered in blankets of snow on top of deep ice and permafrost. The south pole however is the opposite, extremely hot. Once a tropical rainforest and desert continent, the shifting of the land to create the modern supercontient cause mass volcanic eruptions in the regions and less rainfall. The pole is now considered a wasteland by the tribal natives and survivable for the non-adapted wildlife.

The Creatures of Unikaria are strange, beautiful and too much like our own, they have Mammals, Reptiles, Amphibians and more much like Earth but make home to far larger, more alien creatures and oddities, creatures that live permanently high in the sky to creatures that live and swim in magma, sand and mud it is a bizarre place to be seen and believed. Humans have yet to set foot on the planet, truth be told, humans are barely investing in space technology the story is this planet is from the Native Tribes. The sapient race of Gobbis, a specie of Goblin like creatures who live each day in this dangerous world.

The History of Unikaria can be said both biologically and geologically, the prior telling the story when which odd groups evolved and ruled when and the latter being a tale of geographical events and geological events thats a tale for another day however.

In the current era a supercontient reigns and has done so for 28 Million Years and is currently flooded largely but retains 60% of the worlds area and the Saurian and Wyver Groups battle for supremacy on land, sea and sometimes air.

Taxonomy also works different in this world, due to the lack of Humans and modern science the Gobbis have their own four step classifications Topgroups, Megagroups, Supergroups and Groups.

Topgroups make up what kind of life the life form is Animal, Plant or Fungus as the Gobbis havent discovered bacteria or viruses yet. Animals are the creatures that live on this green planet, the plants are what makes it green, the Flora, and the Mushrooms are the common food of the Gobbis when a hunt fails.

Megagroups vary for each group, for Animals its split between Vertebrates, Invertebrates and Semi-Vertebrates, Plants its Flowering and Nonflowering and for Fungus its Death, Birth, Life, Prosperity.
Invertebrates are animals without a spine, Vertebrates are animals with a spine and Semi-vertebrates are animals with a primitive spinal structure that isnt a spine.
Flowering Plants display either beautiful or not so beautiful displays for breeding and pollination, and nonflowering plants find other means
Death Fungus are described as being lethal to eat and common at scenes of death, Birth are tall and slim commonly used in rituals by the Gobbis to bless births, Life are small and fat commonly used to heal Gobbis from injuries, and Prosperity are giant mushrooms used as homes by the Gobbis in harsh times
