Description
So this was a sketch I did back in November but never got around to taking a photo of it an uploading it.
It's a basic set of headsketches featuring the real-world conterparts of the lead characters from the animated series, Code Lyoko. This is one of those series that I really enjoyed because the storyline was interesting but also the animations and designs. I loved the 2D animation that represented the real-world scenarios and the CGI animated used as a representation of the digital world and digital selves. I found that it was a beautiful blend of traditional and digital media and so with this sketch, I wanted to sketch their real-world selves. Yumi was perhaps the easiest since to this day, she continues to be my favorite of the group so working on her was fun. I also enjoyed working on Aelita, Odd and Ulrich as they each had a persona that contrasted and complimented everyone wonderfully. Of team Lyoko though, if I had to work on a full sketch, it probably would be Yumi or Odd . . . I always loved Odd's quirky personality.
