You know, I'd have never thought that hot pink and bright teal could work into a portrait of Sherlock... but they do! Somehow, the bright, fresh, unexpected colors seem to capture one of the distinguishing aspects of his personality: his utter unpredictability. You never know if he's going to pay attention the some piece of minutiae, or ask a witness utterly bizarre questions. Between the colors, the composition, and the posing, I feel like there's cold, fresh spring wind blowing and that the game is about to be on.

Aaah, them blues and pinks are lovely. I adore this, the colours are wowww and Benedict's features are so careful and precise and accurate. It works nicely as a very realistic portrait but has this full on emotion and pop as well.
