The following things are ALWAYS OKAY WITH ME!!! So you don't!!! need to ask me for permission for these things ever!!!! (Seriously don't please help me cut down on my 9000+ messages)
- Sharing my art anywhere online (credit appreciated)
- Copying/referencing my art for educational purposes (credit appreciated)
- Using my art as your avatar or Facebook cover or desktop wallpaper (or whatever other personal use)
- Getting a tattoo of my art (photos pls)
- Printing out my art from online files to decorate your whatever (seriously it's okay I understand not everyone can afford to buy prints)
- Using my art for… like… SIMS?? Or as custom thingys for games? I swear I got some questions about this but yeah uh do what you want
- In fact the bottom line is I really do not care what you do with my art at all as long as you give credit and don't 1.) purposely remove my signature or worse 2.) CLAIM YOU DREW IT YOURSELF ok seriously I will kill you
- Everything else is usually a-okay tho grasshoppers (◡‿◡✿)

I was wondering if you would help me with a project. I'm making a Harry Potter tarot deck, and I'm not nearly a good enough artist for what I have in mind. Would you feel comfortable with making 78 different drawings (only about 4in x 3in? ) I would be able to give you a list of the pictures I need. i never ever printed art because i knew the artist would want me to purchase prints.
since i couldn't afford such (and still can't), i never did it.
same with the tattoo and profile pic: some people flip when others do it.

Do you think this bothers most artist ? I've printed out many others, because covering my walls from prints would be crazy expensive.

It does bother some artists because there are those who are trying to make a living off of it and if you appreciate the art enough to want to decorate with it, it's nice purchase their intellectual property for your personal use. I understand the money issue, and that's why some artists- like alicexz- are generous to share freely, but from the shoes of someone else it might seem more like stealing their deign/creations, which it why it is always safer to ask and get their permission. Most of the time though, as long as you are not claiming the work as your own or selling it, the artist likely won't ever know and as far as I know it is not illegal to print photos off the internet to decorate your bedroom.
I admittedly tend to be a little conservative with my photography, and while the photos I take aren't top quality or by any means special, I still take a pride in the time and effort I put into my passions. So from a personal standpoint, I see both sides and can relate, even though they are sort of opposing.
But to answer your question more directly, it depends on the artist and the only way to know is to ask or see if they have a FAQ stating that don't mind you printing their art for personal use.
