Β Is it done with apophysis (or some other "flame fractal" software)?
An enlarged single frame that clearly shows the "fishbowl" object would probably look very nice in higher resolution.

I have some early apo animations that look like someone stirred a mudpuddle and filmed the motion... they're really bad.
So I'm being quite honest when I say this one is really stunning, especially for a first.
I'm still amazed by that pot-like object spinning around.
You are right too.. rendering even small flame animations is very time consuming - which is one major reason I appreciate people making apo flame animations.
