The HTTYD books had a Dragon language (that Hiccup had learned to speak)
Plus the main dragon antagonist (who made an appearance starting with book 8) a Seadragonus Giganticus Maximus (The Beast to be exact) that went by the name Furious, according to HTTYD Wiki has some similarities to Alduin.
