Description
I found this "little" guy sitting on something he caught and nicely wrapped in cobweb. He sat motionless while I took some photos but unfortunately in a very awkward spot, so I couldn't get anything decent.Maybe it wasn't something s/he caught, but maybe some eggs or little ones...
I don't know.
I don't even know what it's named...
He's quite big, but if I should compare him/her with ones I have seen at various exotic pet stores, I'd guess he's still pretty young.
I felt tempted to catch it and keep it as a pet (pets such as these are quite expensive here in S.A.) but, I don't think a spider will make as good a pet as a snake
That thought brought me to wonder if I cannot trade it for a snake

lol!
Yeah, I have to agree, spiders send shivers down my spine, but then again, so did snakes until I started handling my nephews for extended periods of time...
Aren't humans an interesting species? The way we get used to something if we do it enough times
I think spiders are quite boring pets, but maybe that's just me because I guess a snake isn't that much more exciting...
At least not until it's feeding time

at least you can cuddle a snake without squishing him, lol :3 although if you had a constrictor he might squish you...
I was really surprised the first time I handled a snake, they feel squishier than I imagined xD
but there are no snakes in NZ so it's not often I meet one, I can't imagine how they are to keep as pets x3 I guess they do a lot of sitting under the heat lamps
totoro currently won't shut up, at least snakes aren't so chirpy

hehehe
Snakes actually don't like to be cuddled, just held firmly but gently
You should hold a python if you ever come across one. At least one that is older than 2 years. I love they way they feel! If I had room for it and if I weighed more than 70 kilograms, I would have seriously considered getting one! Apparently for the adult python, anything under 70 kilograms is considered food! And yes, I'm so skinny, I weigh less than 70 :/
I know what you mean about the chirping... Which is why I do not like birds... No offense to Toto

Well, I am 7 kilograms under my ideal weight!
I do eat a ton of junk food, it just doesn't seem to help. I am actually on my way to a "eat as much as you can" pizza evening
