Description
Vinyl Scratch done up on one of those small artist trading cards! She sold to a totally badass Vinyl Scratch cosplayer at Everfree NW.I must say, drawing in a style different then the show was quite fun! I like making the unicorns a little more willow-y and graceful!

She looks kind of like a goat. That's fine though.

Yep, traditional unicorn look had some very goat-ish aspects to it.

I really like the stylization you've used. I'm also a bit surprised how few people know what a traditional unicorn looks like after reading the comments. o.O"

The slightly less "pony-ish" look is cool. I especially like the tail.

Huh, I had no idea classical unicorns had cloven hooves. The more you know. The tail looks a bit different, too. Like a longer tail with a tuft of hair on the end, whereas horse tails are almost entirely hair. Is that also how classical unicorns were portrayed?
Good job on the picture, by the way.

Sometimes it's portrayed that way! The Hunt of the Unicorn I think is a pretty good, well known, example. [link]

I was going to complaint hat horses don't have cloven hooves, then I realized she wacent supposed to be a pony.

Yup! I was going to amend my artist comments and say that she's supposed to be more of a classical unicorn, hence the cloven hooves, but then I decided to just see how people commented as that's more fun.

Never knew that unicorns originally had cloven hooves and tails. I suppose those arabians are creative with there legends.

There's lots of different variations: [link] I usually attribute what I did here to European styling because of The Hunt of the Unicorn: [link]

More old style unicorn than goat, but those unicorns had the goat feet, so there you are!

I was basing her more on how unicorns have been portrayed in mythology than a horse. Unicorns in myth and stories are described as having cloven hoofs like a goat.
