He may be gone from Vegas and the world of forensics but he will always be remembered fondly by the people who love this show.
I had a very sweet dream about him a couple of days ago and that's what prompted me to do this piece.

I always liked him the best of all CSI shows. I did not know he was gone. I guess I am watching re-runs.

I'm really sorry for spoiling this for you... William Petersen left the show at the beginning of Season 9. Other actors have left as well but I'll just leave it at that for now, just in case. Let's just say that the show isn't exactly what it used to be. It was one of those few that had an amazing ensemble cast but now that incredible chemistry isn't quite there anymore, IMO.
