Description
This is a completely gratuitous and blatantly beefcaky render of my new BroShep. I just wanted to start showing him off and I hope you don't mind because you'll get to see more of him in the coming weeks.
It's still only a work in progress as the title says because there's still a lot to improve. The N7 logo needs to be changed and the background will most likely change and I need your very valuable opinions on this: should Kyle keep the Phaeston assault rifle or should I go for something smaller? I just don't want the gun to take the focus away from him and onto the gun.

Pleasure, and after seeing Kyle, I went and redid my ME3 playthrough, with a similiar set up, and its difficult to make a good looking Broshep, unless you spend like two hours crafting him.

Uhm... yeah... that is definitely one fine specimen
My personal favorite rifle is the Revenant, but I think the Phaeston is a better choice for this render here. Idk, maybe it's because of the background or something, but the rifle matches him. And before I forget to mention it, my eyes flew straight towards his face

You surely don't have to worry about the weapon, it doesn't steal the focus, Kyle is way to impressive for that

To paraphrase the great Christopher Walken "More Kyle-bell" . Beautiful render and really...what's not to like about the subject? As for the gun, I like the Scorpion's boom, but I think Kyle can hold his own against the big gun.

I love green eyes too... The obvious choice would have been brown because of his dark skin tone but I wanted something that would stand out more.

As for the rifle, personally I'm no big fan of the Phaeston, so I'm probably biased. On the other hand, I agree that the focus should be on Shep rather than his weapon, so maybe switching to something smaller may be a good move. What about using a heavy pistol or a SMG rather than an assault rifle? Just an idea of course!

I think I'm going to take your suggestion and either go for an SMG or maybe a shotgun since he's a Vanguard, although they kind of tend to be a bit big too... I have to say I've never been a fan of heavy pistols, though, because not only are they too slow but they're obviously really lacking in terms of power. I've always seen them as a weapon of last resort when your main weapon runs out of ammo and the pistol is all you have left.

A shotgun is definitely big, but fitting for a Vanguard. Maybe you can pick a Scimitar or the Eviscerator/Wraith, since I'm under the impression they look relatively sleek and compact compared to other shotguns. If that doesn't work you can always go back to the SMG (Locust?).
Actually, I like heavy pistols and tend to use them a lot both in SP and MP. I'm terrible with sniper rifles, so I tend to use a Carnifex fitted with scope and barrel upgrade as a cheap sniping weapon!
