I've been wanting to do these sorta things for a while. I'm taking the characters from Paper Mario and Paper Mario 2: the 1,000 year door, and making them into a more realistic design. This is Toad and Toadette, in case anyone doesn't know.I've seen on a caption of a toad fanart that those polka dot hats are called turbans (whether or not they really are), so I made them into turbans. The rest of the wardrobe almost reminds me of the clothes from Aladdin. lol.
I couldn't resist doing that toad in the background being eaten by a metroid.
That came from that same picture that I saw the caption. The picture was one of the fan arts in the game informers. I don't remember which issue, but it's somewhere between 85 and 120.The rest of the Paper Mario characters I'm doing...

It's actually not a hat. It's a headdress. It is worn by Muslims and Sikhs as part of their religions. And, usually, they aren't polka dotted.

Turbans are only worn by males... That would be kind of creepy, if not offensive to Sikhs and Muslims.
I think fashion designers show at least some restraint.
