You're actually doing quite so well with anatomy. It took me a long time to get close to this level you demonstrate here

Thank you very much Humans are indeed hard and they aren't really my thing. Now that I got rid of this duty, time to go back to animalsΒ Β

Well, "doing well" is more a matter of technique and I'm old friends with pencils, I meant that I've never learned seriously about drawing portraits, they don't inspire me enough. And there is no reason for that, you're so amazing

Mmmm, technique is not quite enough for something as complex as a living body. Knowledge about anatomy, then there is.... the feeling, not only anatomically correct but make it feel alive. If you know what I mean. You got that. And I said it because I'm rather clumsy with things outside of my comfort zone >.< Luckily, that comfort zone isn't really small

Yeah, I know, I have a book called "Human anatomy for artists" ...so yeah ^^ I took all I had to know from there.Β And I'm impressed you say that about making it look alive, most of my non-artist friends told me I didn't succeed to create emotion in this guy, I thought that was just the photo's fault, it was pretty neutral. But thank you for saying that
Yeah, we always have to step out of that So many things that I began and I threw in the trash bin... it's a normal thing to do in life

I really wouldn't say so. I meant mostly the body itself, but I wouldn't say anything different for the face either. Yeah, true, it's emotionally mostly neutral, but that doesn't mean lifeless.
