Long story short, CandieStars and I were talking about Indighosty 's Soul Eater ocs. And joking how we never made any when we were younger. I had also really wanted to redesign these characters, but I had no ideas. Even though I hated their old designs, the characters were still very dear to little me. And I was suddenly struck with the idea to rework them into soul eater ocs. Finally giving them the redesign they deserved.

So thanks to both of them for inspiring me.

Jade is the Meister, Simon is the weapon. Jade's father was a witch, and when she was a baby, he summoned and bound a demon to her, to protect her, Simon. So she grew up with him as an older brother. Her father was eventually found and killed by the DWMA. Not knowing what to do with the kids, they put them in school. Since they're already partnered up, and it's the easiest way to keep an eye on them.

Jade is very sassy and mean spirited. She can come off too aggressive and isn't the most social adept. She's play rude, but she can take it too far. Simon is very quiet and to himself. He's got a quick temper and is brash with decisions. They have an intimidating aura together. Jade is more extroverted and wants to make friends, Simon is just stuck with her. Even though they seem cold, they genuinely care about one another, they just show it in their own way.

Jade has conflicting feelings about her father. Of course she mourns him. But their relationship was strained and awkward. He gave her Simon to keep her safe, but that also meant he could pay her less attention. Simon, though he's bound to her, does care for her. He assumed the care giver position when she was young. Neither of them have full loyalty to the DWMA, but exclusively to each other. Simon is physically not human eyes and ears, but they pretend it's just something magic from 'their' dad. So far, it's working and everyone believes he's just a human.

They have their weird yin yang hair due to the spell that was used to bind them. He essentially plucked a hair from the both of them, and gave it to the other. So they have a literal piece of each other.

I don't know what I want Simon to be yet, so TBA.
