So I use this Drawing Amino app and they had a challenge to draw a music genre as a person.

And I got a little carried away. So I made 4. Indie Punk, Stoner Rap, Future Bass, and Pop Punk.

So here you have Matthias, Lulana, Ren, and Jake. 4 unlikely friends who get high behind the highschool and love and support
each other despite music and aesthetic differences.

Matthias, goes by Matt, cause no one can figure out how to pronounce his name, and it's frustrating. He's from Sweden and his parents
moved over here when he was 3. The date on his arm is his older brother's birthday. He died when they were both little, and that's one of the reasons his parents moved. To get a new start. He speaks fluent Swedish and English and has a very soft accent. He thinks his parents are too soft and is afraid they're going to get taken advantage of. He strives to protect them and be their tough outter shell.

Lulana goes by Lanie. Her mom is a Mexican and a HeadRN at the local hospital. Her dad works construction and sells drugs on the side. Their family has 3 rules. No hard drugs. Don't sell to children. And don't get caught. Her dad is very supportive of her wanting to rap, he buys her expensive equipment and listens to all her songs. Her mom thinks she needs a back up plan and comes off kind of calloused, but she can hear her humming along when she's doing the dishes. She speaks fluent Spanish and English, and claims they only taught her so she could get in on family gossip. Her dad doesn't speak a lick despite being with his wife for like 20 years.

Ren is very, very herself. She's chill and calm on the outside, but tends to be melodramatic. She runs a very successful Tumblr aesthetic blog and it is her life. Her dad is from China and owns his own company. Her mom is basically a trophy wife and she's not sure there is any real love in their relationship, she hasn't seen it. She was raised primarily by her mom, since he dad is never around, in their giant empty house. She barely speaks any Mandarin, since she's not exposed to it. She knows enough to be polite to her family, count, and swear, and she's taking classes. Cause two of her friends are bilingual and how is that fair.

Jake is fake deep. Kinda edgy, relates to every pop punk song ever written and is a devoted fan of Blink-182. He's had a crush on Hailey Williams since he was 12 and he's met her at concert twice. He lives with his mom, stepdad, and older step brother. His parents got divorced when he was a baby cause his dad liked drugs. His mom thinks he's been severely traumatized by the experience and babies him, but really it doesn't bother him that much. His dad lives in the same town and he sees him every day. He's a roady and takes him to every concert he can. He's clean now and is an active part of Jake's life. His step dad and older brother are jerks. SD is racist and homophobic, but he shuts his mouth when his mom or his friends are around. Jake ignores them both violently. His mom always tell them to leave him alone. He gets away with everything.
