Description
You’re chanting Latin words, trying to exercise the demon you got trapped in the devil’s trap you’d lured it into.
You're a hunter, and you’d been hunting for a while now, ever since your family got killed by demons. You preferred to hunt alone, even though you were offered to hunt with others.
You liked going solo. No baggage. Just you and your trusted knives and guns. You hated worrying about losing people you cared about, as hunters tend to die an early death, you avoided getting attached to them.
As you're busy exorcising, you suddenly feel something grab you.
Another demon.
Your heart races, your mind struggles to realize what is going on and your eyes notice the knife the demon is holding.
As you brace yourself, the demon suddenly drops dead.
You look up in surprise, seeing 2 handsome guys, the taller one holding the knife that killed the demon.
“You okay, miss?”
“Uhmmm, yes, I think so” you say, as they’re killing the one you got trapped.
“Nice knife.” You stare in slight confusion, still flustered, trying to get over the fact that you almost just died.
“Thanks, and you're welcome by the way.” The smaller one says. Oh yeah, you forgot to thank them. Of course.
“Oh.. I'm sorry, thanks for saving me uhmm”
“Sam. And this is Dean.” He gestures towards the smaller one.
“Winchester?” You’ve heard of them, Sam accidentally opened hells gate and everything, but they did save the world from the apocalypse. Garth told you about them, and how both of them went to hell and back.
Sam looks at you quizzically, brows furrowed.
“Garth told me about you guys, he says you're good hunters.”
Wow, they're quite handsome, considering everything they've been trough. You’d be a total mess if you went through the same stuff, but these guys look like they've got this.
There’s an awkward silence for a minute before Sam manages to break it.
“So uhmm, what's yours?”
“Hmmm?”
“Your name.”
You both chuckle a bit awkwardly.
“Oh, my name’s (Y/N)”
Dean walks up to you.
“Well, nice to meet you (Y/N). Would you like to eat something with us?”
You nod.

*time skip in honor of the assbutt*

The lunch went well, you talked for a while and had fun. you even managed to get yourself invited to their bunker. Well.. after taking a few tests to see if you're not a monster of course.
“So.. Nice Batcave guys!” Dean lights up a bit and sends you a flirtatious smile
“Thanks (Y/N)”
You look around in awe, taking in how huge and awesome this place place is.
“Thanks for inviting me over, but I won't be staying long.”
“Really, why not?” Sam asks in almost a sad tone.
“I prefer going solo on things, nothing personal. It's just that everyone I get attached to tends to die.”
“Well, we did die a few times.. But we came back, so you don't need to worry about that.”
You give him an apologetic smile. He awkwardly smiles back.
“I’ll be going to my room guys, so I guess you gotta enjoy yourselves without me”
He walks closer to you and looks at you, trying to be seductive. “unless... You wanna come with me?”
You chuckle.
“No thanks.”

After a few moments of being awkward and having no idea what to do, you and Sam decide to watch a movie together.
You're in the middle of a movie, but you can't focus on the movie with Sam sitting next to you. Your heart starts to beat faster as you're getting more and more aware of how smart and awesome you think he is.
And then puts his arm around you.
You internally panic.
He notices you're tensed. “What's wrong (Y/N)?”
“It's nothing… It's just, I can't focus on the movie.” You sigh.
“Well, do you… want to do something else then?” He looks at you, brows furrowed. Your checks are flushing and you’re so scared that he’ll notice. You're looking down, but his one hand reaches for your chin and forces you to look at him.
“I think I'm starting to like you Sam, I'm scared.”
He softly presses his lips onto yours for a moment, sending butterflies to your stomach. It's a short, small kiss but it feels perfect.
“I like you too (Y/N), and you don't have to be scared, if anything goes wrong, we’ll find a way to make it right.”
He sweetly kisses your forehead, making you feel reassured.
After that, you guys decide to cuddle, and you end up falling asleep in his strong, protective arms.
For the first time in forever, you feel safe.
