Follow me on Instagram @ivanalifanI was practicing how to paint using a mother colour pallet which was grey and purple that was added to every colour and avoiding using pure colours from the tube. I was trying to imitate this photographic muted light quality that I saw in old Polaroids.

If you want to know how to paint skin, just follow your reference in terms of values and always use blues and greens in your skin tone, if you don't, it will only look like a fake lifeless doll.

Well done my friend! you just created a great painting. I can see you have plenty painting technique
when I see the blending, you have a great brush stroke in wet in wet painting technique yet you have a great sense to make rending all the toned area. You know, you have paint the bursting light as well on the top left... it's make the painting looks so fresh..and you combine it with shade dark blur background, so it's become dramatic...
