Description
Something a bit different this time. I've drawn a sketch for this piece on a bad day, one of those days when everything seems to go wrong. You know, your cat is sick, you trip over your own feet and your lines are wobbly ... or is it just me who have those kind of days?
Anyway, later I thought it looks kind of ugly and cute and slightly disturbing all at the same time... and just had to paint it... Hope you like it.

It's difficult not to refer again to the painting technique.Β But it looks good.Β Works very well.Β And apart from this having some horns, the hands don't look evil at all.... same thing mirrored in the pear.Β The background has serpents that are serpenty, but carefully made as a mosaic.Β Yep, don't know what to say.Β Good DD.

Shit dude I didn't even see the horns.Β Now it's officially scary because I could just see this being like a demon in disguise and the horns are only visible in the shadows.Β Duuuuude.

Are horns what make it for you? it's the dewiness in the eyes that sold this one for me. I'd take anything they gave me.. nothing about this scares me. It totally did at first look but I found something beyond that, that made me want to find the kindness in this character. Β

When I first saw this, I thought it was an evil queen with a poison apple, but when I looked closer I saw that it was a kind old monster, offering his/her best fruit to a passerby. Fantastic job!

To be honest, when I saw this drawing, I really wasn't sure how to react to this. I kinda hoped your description would explain further as to what the woman is doing, but I guess this is all up to our interpretation.
For me, I think I see the woman as a good person. Sure, she's offering a fruit that doesn't seem to look like the best fruit out there. But for some reason, her face doesn't strike me as evil; it looks as if she has a sense of generosity in offering that fruit. That's why this piece really struck me.
Good job, Ma'm. You've done a really contemplative piece here. And to think this came into fruition when you had a bad day.
