Oh, look! Alistine is taking commissions.

I'll try to keep this simple. I write for points. You give me an idea for a short story, characters, plot, etc., along with points (sorry, commission = payment, so....pay up), and I'll give you a work of art. Fairly straightforward, eh?

Before you ask me to write for you, though, I ask for one small favor: research. Read my work. I have some things posted here, on deviantART, as well as links on my profile to other pages with more stories. I'm not asking you to read and review or anything; just make sure that my style is agreeable to you. Neither of us want to find out that you don't like my writing after I've already sent you the finished product.

How to Commission My Services

In that first message, just give me the basics. What kind of story you're interested in (the general genre, basically), vague plot (I'm rather lose with this. If you have a good plot already in mind, then tell me! If you'd rather I just write something with a character in a genre and the rest is up to me, that's good, too. I'm not really picky at all), character basics (name, general what-they-look-like, personality), and, most importantly, how much you are willing and able to pay.

Price System:
50 words = 5 points
100 words = 10 points
200 words = 20 points
Etc.

Basic math, right? Simple. Good.

Once we've negotiated a price (or at least, a baseline), then we'll hammer out details for the story.
And then I'll write it.
Once it's done, I'll send you a preview (the first paragraph or so, just so you know that it' really done, and I'm not just trying to steal your points) and a rounded word count. By rounded, I mean I will round the finished word count to the nearest 50 words (5 points) and that will be the final price.

Examples:

A final word count of 678 words rounds up to 700 words. For 700 words, you pay 70 points.
A final word count of 620 words rounds down to 600 words. For 600 words, you pay 60 points.
A final word count of 669 words rounds down to 650 words. For 650 words, you pay 65 points.

Then, once you've transferred the points to me, I'll post the story for you (or whatever we agree upon as a delivery method), and we'll all be happy.

I have to admit, however, that I do procrastinate. If it takes me a few days or weeks to finish your story, then please don't take offense. Once I've taken a project for someone else, I will not drop it. I have a rather full schedule, though, so writing for fun often gets pushed aside to make room for other things. If you don't hear from me for a while, then you can send me a message to make sure I'm still alive, but don't worry about the commission. Eventually, every project I accept will be finished.

Willing to Write

Genres and Plots – I'm open to trying pretty much anything, though I do have some warnings. My humor isn't all that great (most of the time, anyway), and I'm not a huge fan of the typical fairytale ending (though I'm not opposed to such endings, by any means). I excel at short stories that leave you thinking, and even a bit in the dark. Mind fuck? Oh, please. Let me help you.
Violence and Gore – I'm an American. I'm not squeamish. Bring it on.
Fanfiction – Hetalia Axis Powers, preferably (I can and will write pretty much anything for Hetalia), though I also know a few other basics (Naruto, Bleach, Ouran High School Host Club, etc.), and non-anime series and movies (Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, Inception, classic action films like Indiana Jones, pretty much anything by Steven Spielberg, etc.).
Sex – Any kind. Graphic, implied, dub-con, rape, bondage, fetish (with a very few exceptions), gay, straight, lesbian, etc. But I will not write smut for people under the age of 18. It's not just wrong, it's illegal, and I'd rather not have to deal with cops or lawsuits.

Will Not Write

Hospital drama – no ER, House, General Hospital, etc. kind of stories, please. I know next to nothing about any type of medical profession, and I wouldn't be able to do the story justice. However, psychiatric ward-type stories, I can handle.
Golden showers/Scat play – No. Just.....no.
Historical fiction – With a few exceptions. Hetalia fanfics, I will set in whatever period you so desire. Fantasy or Dark Ages (or earlier), I can work with and enjoy. But modern history outside these limits? Please, no. I'm sorry, but it bores me to tears.

Last Words

As the author, I reserve the right of ownership over any commission I accept.

I reserve the right to refuse a commission if I so choose. I will not discriminate on the basis of age, sex, gender, race, color, religion, creed, profession, or sexual orientation (yes, I'm covering my bases), but if I can't do a story, then I can't do a story. That's all there is to it.

I am also willing to provide my services as a beta.

What is a beta, you may ask? Simple. A beta is a person who will look over your written work and edit it for grammar, spelling, etc. before you post it. Basically, an online editor.

I understand grammar. It comes naturally to me, like breathing or loving rock music. However, I do realize that it isn't as easy for many (if not most) people.

Which is why I'm here.

Beta-checking a document takes a whole different set of skills from writing a commission and generally requires about half the labor (at least for me). That's a good thing for you, because half the labor = half the price, as follows:

100 words = 5 points
200 words = 10 points
500 words = 25 points
1000 words = 50 points

Simple enough, right? A 5-point scale instead of the 10-point one for commissions.
